NHL Draft
Goodbye Yandle
As predicted Keith Yandle will not be a blueshirt come October. The Rangers have traded the rights to Keith Yandle to the Florida Panthers for a 2016 6th round pick and a conditional 2017 4th round pick, pending that Yandle does indeed sign with the Panthers.
During Yandle’s 1.5 years he netted 7 goals and had 51 assists. Although Yandle will be missed I believe it was the right call letting Yandle walk. The Rangers could not support the large contract Yandle was due and did not want to fall into another Girardi or Staal contract with an aging defenseman.
Latest on the trade front is that the Rangers are exploring a deal with the Anaheim ducks that would move Nash to the Ducks in exchange for Cam Fowler. More to come as we get updated. Stay tuned!
