  1. He did lead the team in game winning goals with 8 2 years ago. I think using the word “disappointment” fits better. I get what you’re saying. Believe me there’s plenty of times I found myself saying “come on Nash we need a big goal here”. I just get upset when fans say he’s not living up to excetations. He was a 30 goal scorer with a season or 2 with 40 goals. Since he’s been here he scored 23 goals in 48 games (strike season). Then he had 26 goals after missing 17 games with a concussion which is above the 30 goal pace. Then he had his best year with the 42 goals. Last year was the only season he really wasn’t on a 30 goal pace. Plus he’s they’re best defensive player and makes plays that don’t show up on the score sheet. Even last year he was on pace for 20 -25 goals. Basically what I’m saying is I think he’s getting a much worse rap then he deserves. Thanks for the reply and again I really enjoyed the pod cast and will definitely be listening to all the pod casts you do. I would definitely rate it higher then the rest pod casts I listen too and I listen to every Rangers pod cast available. Thanks again

  2. I enjoyed the pod cast but I have to disagree with the part about Nash being a flop. You said he should be a 30 goal scorer n I agree cause that’s what he was with Columbus. Look at the goals he scored in the amount of games he played each year n you’ll see he was on pace for 30 or more other then last year. 23 goals in 48 games in the strike year. 26 goals in the year he had the concussion and missed 17 games. You know there’s no practicing while you’re out with a concussion either. But that’s another year of 30 goal or more pace. Then he played the full year n scored 42 goals. Yes he makes the money but look at some of the guys making 6.5 mill or more that don’t score 30 goals let alone play on the PK. He’s our best player. Who else plays in all zones like him

    • We are glad you enjoyed the podcast! We will have many more to come so stay tuned! We are now also on iTunes, so please subscribe, rate us, and leave a review! Greg would definitely be on your side here. He argues that Nash has been productive as you did above. Looking more in your numbers is correct my self by saying maybe he isn’t a “flop” but more a disappointment. I expect Nash to be a go to guy in all situations. I feel many of his goals and points come during non crucial moments in games. Are my expectations too too high? Probably. But the Nash I want needs to be more consistent and a threat every shift, I just don’t see that.
